SCPS High School Chromebook Launch is fast approaching!! On September 22nd we will kick off the deployment for grades 9-12 at both Collins and Shelby County High Schools. For details of the deployment nights and more information about the Chromebooks, see the district articles below:
"Chromebook Deployment"
Shelby County Public Schools is proud to take the next step toward empowering our students. The Board of Education’s commitment to the students of our county has once again been shown through their purchase of a Chromebook for every ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade student in Shelby County Public Schools.
The Chromebook deployment will happen the nights of September 22, 23, and 24 at both high schools.
Tuesday, September 22 (5:00 - 8:00) - Every 9-12 student last name A-G
Wednesday, September 23 (5:00 - 8:00) - Every 9-12 student last name H-P
Thursday, September 24 (5:00 - 8:00) - Every 9-12 student last name Q-Z
Saturday, September 26 (9:00 am - 12:00) All that missed on their night / Make-up Day
On the nights listed above, SCPS will give out Chromebooks to every student in grades 9-12. It is mandatory that a parent or guardian attends the deployment night with students. (No devices will be released to go home with a student who does not have a parent/guardian with them.) On the night of the deployment, families will receive a check-off sheet to make sure all stations have been completed. The check-off sheet will include:
Please note: if students plan to use their own device, the student and parent will STILL NEED to attend their deployment night to read and sign a new RUP and view the Digital Citizenship video.

- Payment of the $50.00 usage fee. Payment can be made with cash or check (or card through e-funds.) If you'd like to to pay the fee early through e-funds, Follow this link
- Read and sign the Responsible Use Policy.
- View a 15-minute Digital Citizenship video.
- Pick up chargers and protective sleeves.
- Pick up Chromebook.
- Log in, initialize, and personalize the device.
